Podcast speed issue with iOS5

iPhone 4. I always listen to my podcasts at double-speed.

Before the upgrade to iOS5, if I received a call while listening to a podcast, when done with the call, the podcast would resume playing at double-speed.

Since the upgrade, after the call, the Music App indicates that the podcast is playing at double-speed (blue "2x"), but plays at normal speed. To get back to double-speed, I have to click on the speed indicator and cycle through 1.5x, 1x to 2x.

Anyone else?
Any known fix for this?

It is one of those things that sounds crazy until you try it. Sometimes I have to switch to normal speed for a song or some other speed sensitive part and everyone sounds to me like they are on downers.

You would be surprised how easy it is. Of course, it may depend on the person. Leo Laporte, Adam Carolla and Larry Miller sound just fine at 2x.

I'm going to have to experiment with this. Leo can be quite a bit long winded. You might want to try a different app. I have started using Downcast and love it 10x better than using iTunes.

I just noticed this myself. Best bet is to file a bug report with Apple and wait for an update.
I listen to most shows @ 2x as well.

I have never filed a bug report with Apple before. Do you have to be a developer (I'm not)?

I do the 2x speed with a lot of training videos. Can't stand waiting to get to the next part with a slow talking person covering a lot of content.
 
If using headphones that came with it (or any others with inline controls) just pause and restart after the call and it goes back to double speed.
Do you know that audiobooks can be played double speed. Just change media kind from music/audiobook etc to podcast. As long as original is an audio only format it works great. This includes keeping your position and allowing you to synch books a couple of chapters at a time and it will update depending on your sync settings.
