podbot?

i'm running halflife with counterstrike v1.0 and i've been messing with podbot for a few days now. i noticed i never have any bots in maps i downloaded, only the original ones that came with cs. is this supposed to be like this? are there any other programs that can create bots in maps i downloaded? also, the bots with podbot get stuck outside doors and jump up and down, rather than open the doors. wtf?

for maps that have no bots, you need to make your own waypoints for the bots to spawn. i think the podbot creators wrote something about how to do that.

as for the getting stuck thing, yeah, that was a problem but i don't recall it being too much of a problem in 1.5.

I don't know much about podbot, but I know that most early bot programs for CS called for programming specific AI for maps, like on dust, the bots would know to plant the bomb on top of crates and on assault they wouldn't jump off the roofs...

The reason they won't work with downloaded maps is because they haven't been programmed to interact with the surroundings... basically, they really aren't AI, because they require map-specific information.

i updated my cs to version 1.5 and now i'm trying to update to 1.6, but i keep getting an error that the directory i specified isn't where cs is installed. it's the one directory i set for cs and i know its the right one, but it just won't install for me. i try doing Update HL from inside the game, but that doesn't work either. wtF?

download the full steam and installl fresh. you don't even need the game installed ..just a cd key for legit steam account

and of course don't forget to go to csrealism.com to get the cs realism final ed🙂 high poly/high texture pack+enhanced sounds too🙂
