Amazing what lengths PocketPC users will go to just so that they can arrive at what they really wanted: a Palm;) Of course, they'll get there several hundred MHz overweight, several hundred more dollars underweight, and hootering and hollering as loud as they can:)

As I said, I won't be using it. But for those that left Palm to move to the PocketPC can still use their old apps that may not have a PocketPC counterpart.

Afterall, Palms claim to have thousands of apps to use ;) Besides, Palms latest (m505 and m500) are sorely overpriced compared to PocketPC's.

. Sure you will...because you'll wanna play SimCity Classic for PalmOS;) If that game was a bit cheaper even I'd play it.

I have a Vx, but you have to admit that PPC is sweet. I mean a nice color screen, the ability to read different memory cards with an addon, and MP3 playback.

And a processor fast enough to play Doom for PPC!

Referring to IPaq here.

I don't even know how to install a PalmOS app so I'd be SOL anyway. Besides, PocketPC games are 100 times better than Palm games anyway.

NFS4, Just double click on the Palm OS app you downloaded and press the hotsync button. Maybe you can find a SimCity demo out there. Actually the price has dropped to US$29.95...I might actually get it now.

Anyways, I admit the PPCs seem enticing even to me. But I hardly use my Palm (and that's good). I spend maybe 10 minutes browsing AvantGo in the morning, and 20 seconds at a time organizing tasks/scheduling/looking up contacts. I'd likely use a PPC where a laptop or a desktop was available to me and those do everything the PPC does a lot better and cheaper. Anyhow, it's people like me why Palm is having a hard time selling. They sold us so well on the idea of simplicity that we're hooked. My next upgrade will probably be the Kyocera phone with built in Palm...but that's just too expensive right now (at least 1.5 years away from being available in cheaper models I'd say).

Still, gotta admire this guy for making a PalmOS emulator. I wonder if he'll spend more time in the Palm environment than the PPC one;)
