Would anyone else call the cops on these kids? They're about 12-15, and ride these things for a couple hours every afternoon (5-7ish). They're incredibly loud (maybe they've changed the exhaust?) And it's really aggravating to hear it over... and over... and over...

I don't know where they live or I'd ask their parents to ask them to like take a different path through the neighborhood or something.

I would call the cops but it seems kind of... I dunno... is it even illegal?

I thought they are legal because the engines are so small.. ?

It's just a fad anyway. I haven't heard any all year. Kids around my house had them last year.

You wouldnt do anything about it if a dozen were riding around several hours a day? BS... there is one around my neighborhood and he rides it maybe once a week and its the most annoying sound next to an alarm clock. I wouldnt have any problems about calling the cops.

nope i wouldn't. as it is the kids across the street have a go-cart, 4 wheeler. a few kids down the street have go-carts, 4 wheelers and one has a 250CC bike. Oh and one guy has a old dune buggy that is far louder then all of them.

they ride all over. it really does not bother me. in fact it is one of the reasons i live here. I grew up in a area where you can ride motorbikes on teh street. heck I have had motorbikes since i was around 8 yrs of age.

I plan on getting my daughter a small 50cc bike in a few years. Maybe get my self one of the larger pocket bikes even.

i can understand why it bugs others though. i grew up with it and enjoy it.If someone does not enjoy such stuff yeah it would be very annoying.

edit: i do have to say i would get pissed if they were rideing to late or to early. but the kids around here are nice about it.

The fad seems to have passed here. For a while, maybe a year or two ago, it was very, very annoying. The cops don't seem to care...

These used to be popular in my town until a guy had an accident on one, and lost either one or both of his legs. Not so cool anymore.

Yeah, I thought it was a fad that had passed, but I saw a kid on one last night. It was evident that his doesn't have a headlight, so it was pretty dumb of him to be next to a four lane road at 10PM.

It was pretty annoying when I lived at my old apartment, and the parking lot was set up as a large oval with the pool and community building in the middle. The weed-whacker would go by every two minutes... I'm sure the kids thought it was a blast.

I too rode a dirtbike all over. I also had a go cart. This thing is way way WAY louder than anything like that. I suspect you might not know what I'm talking about.. These are tiny 2 stroke (I assume) bikes... like TINY... they run at a much higher rpm than any of the forementioned bikes/carts

Depending on where you are, they are. I dunno about zixxer, but in California, most are illegal on the streets (need turn signals, all that good stuff).

Yes, I hate them but also consider them very dangerous. They go pretty fast, usually don't wear any protection, and are of a height that doesn't make them very visible over the hood of car.

I hate them even more when adults act like idiots on them.

EDIT: Actually, I don't hate them, I hate the kids that ride them up and down the street in front of my house and the adults on them. Ride them, but GO somewhere. Don't just make me hear zzzzZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzz all day as you get closer and further from my room.

I remember 12-15. Those were pretty lame years. Too old to do kiddy stuff, but too young to drive or do grownup stuff. Let them have their fun.
