Pocket bikes

i work at a motorcycle shop - we have these for toys... thats all they are - toys... not street legal... and not to be taken too seriously

Hmm, those pictures seem to be really misleading. They looked like regular sized bicycles in those pictures, but I just discovered they're like 8" tall.

Take a look at this site.

As far as I know, these are all street legal, except for the 4-wheelers.
Prices are the best I've come across, but shipping $$ could be a problem.

Not to be taken seriously?? Last I remember there was a pretty serious racing scene for them... I have a video of some guys on a couple of these bikes on deals gap... some funny stuff and looks like a back breaking heck of a good time!!! 😀

Those on that site are not typical pocket bikes and I don't think I would ever ride a pocket bike on the street with any sort of traffic...

You are correct and I phrased my reply incorrectly.

I meant for Syringer to take a look at them as an alternative for getting around campus/town.

Some of the riff raff in my town seem to have gotten them. It's hard to take anyone seriously when he's riding a motorcycle that looks like it's a stolen circus prop. I expect them to be followed by a tiny car filled with many clowns.

Anyone know the legality of these? Seem like a real fun toy and great to ride around campus with.

Wow that add looks to be a scam... most of the bikes like those that I have seen are over $1k...check this link

A few guys at my work have them. One paid $400 another paid $300. There's some quality differences, but that's to be expected.

Edit: the one in your link is alot more expensive due to the different frame manufacturing method and the engine. It makes about twice the HP as the cheaper ones.

There have already been several threads about this... and they're still lame. I hope you enjoy getting a car's grill in your face while you ride around on your toy.
