I need to get a PO box today. Anyone know how much and the process Ihave to go thru to get a PO Box? Thanks. I live in a shady neighborhood and my magazines always get stolen, so Ill use a PO box from now on.
 
At my old house magazines & catalogs always turned up 2-3 weeks late -- turned out it was the MAILMAN reading them!!!
 
Don't forget to ask what hours you can get to your box (my PO has 24/7 box access). Also, for anything that requires a signature you'll have to go when the counter is open.
 
I had the reading + stealing coupons/inserts out of them. These were mags in plastic bags....I could see ok let's pretend the bag got opened...but taking stuff out of the magazine was too much. I got about 10-20 magazine per month in college...it was the skin type mags getting raped.

I complained and then my magazines and mail started getting torn up in places and crumbled, etc....so I waited confronted the MF and explained that I didn't so much have a problem with him or whoever at the post office was reading them, and that I myself would be curious (hense why I was subscribed), however once the inserts and things were getting pulled I complained. Now my mail is coming screwed up, the other mail is not screwed up that my neighbors are getting so what's the Fing deal? the prick sort of chuckled, and I then knew it was him...then he goes into a monologue that maybe a kid should not be getting those kinds of magazines and a whole bunch of other tangents.....I was 21 at the time.

Anyways complained again...he was either fired or reassigned, my mail started coming perfect again.
 
you go to the post office and ask for a box
we have to use PO boxes, no local delivery in my town...but yet i have DSL.
i hate it, there are free ones and larger ones cost some $, i think i paid 24 for the year or 24 for 6 months or something, for a larger PO Box.
