So far there is no problems, the 2D is quite sharp for a GeForce card (still, ATi is still a bit sharper, but compared to my old Hercules GeForce 2 GTS 64MB.. it's a lot better) -- I have overclocked to 255/560 :) so far no problems (I'm sure I could push it a little further if I put on Arctic Silver II and another type of Heatsink) I haven't seen any artifacts.. and even if I burn it out, the lifetime warranty is going to be quite handy ;) -- btw, using 21.83 Drivers.

That's nice, I wish my RAM could get that high. I have the PNY Verto GF3 Ti200 card. I'm currently running it at 250/472(from stock 175/400). I got 7450 in 3dmark2k1 and 10727 in 3dmark2000 both default benches.

How is the TI200 under 2D? Similiar to the TI500 I assume?

Thanks

Actually the 2d is pretty good. It's clearer than my Gainward GF2 Pro/450 GS card that I was using before. I'm running at 1280x1024x32bpp@85hz on a 19" IBM P96(FD Trinitron) monitor.

What was your 3dmark2k1 score? Do you have it published, so I can compare mine to it?

Oh, and you need to fix the link to your system specs page at AT. You have it linked as http://http://www.anandtech.com/mysystemrig.html?id=791

8757 in 3DMark2001 Pro!!! :Q
Damn.. what is your system?
Are you sure it's not 3Dmark2000? at 1600x1200?
or is it at default? :)

Funny that I'm actually running at the exact same speeds..
255/560.
The memory could definitely go up.. but the core I think is stuck at that... thanks to my casing :)
No intake fan, bad airflow hehehe. but it's relatively quiet for an AMD system.

I picked up a PNY Ti500 because I was tired of waiting on Dell to deliver on the Radeon 8500 deal, also tired of the negative posts & Radeon problems reported. Couldn't be happier. Pop'd right in & runs fine in my system. No visual artifacts, very sharp 2D. The red logo box when Win2K boots jumps right out at you. Much better image quality than the Geforce2 GTS it replaced. I owned a Radeon 64 Meg DDR for a while. I've got to say that the PNY's 2D IQ appears to me to be right up there with the Radeons. My desktop is running at 1280x1024. Nice sharp text.

I was originally hesitant to go with PNY since I couldn't find any real info on the IQ of the card, but had gotten a Visiontek GF3 previously (back when they first came out) from BestBuy. Returned it after 3 days because I had a lot of artifacts & texture tearing in games. Seemed like probable bad card memory to me. I know a lot of people swear by Visiontek but I was hesitant after that experience. I'm not at all dissapointed in PNY. Lifetime warrantee is a bonus. Also, the card is pretty obviously an Nvidia reference card. the PCB is even marked to that effect. I think PNY is delivering a quality product here & wouldn't hesitate to buy another if needed.

I bought my PNY GF3 Ti200 at CompUSA in San Jose for $199. I did have to drive about 60mi to get there, though.:) They also had Visiontek Ti cards, but I didn't get the Visiontek Ti200, because of the 5ns RAM on it. Fry's Electronics also had some Ti cards for sale.

Oh.. My system.. I upgraded the whole thing (AMD XP 1800+) - I ordered mine on Sunday, got here today, I'm quite happy with it.. (along with my AMD XP and Abit KG7-raid :) ) -- I haven't done any driver tweaks yet.. so will be a bit faster afterwards. -- Oh, and yes, I ran the 3DMark at Default -- but I mean that my screen res is @ 1600x1200
