pny lifetime replacement

I recently purchased a pny 6800 gt. the only problem is that it doesnt work. i am not the original owner and i do not have a reciept, but it doesnt look physically damaged, so will pny honor the lifetime replacemet and rma it, or not? has anyone else been in this situation?

Give it a shot. I've heard "lifetime" warranty from some video cards means "expected" lifetime of product (i.e., when the card is no longer being manufactured by a company, they don't consider it a mainstream card and I guess it's lifetime is over).

Pretty vague I know, but that's what I've heard the last couple of years regarding "lifetime warranties" and some video cards makers.

Since the 6800 series is most definately modern and mainstream, PNY should still be making them and they should replace your card.
