PNY Geforce4 TI4400 and Abit KR7A incompatible?? Really driving me nuts.

Well, if they say it 'does work', then make it 'not work'🙂 Just blotch a BIOS upgrade; unplug the power cord while in the middle of flashing it.

I would love to cheat Abit, but the thing is, no matter how many brand new Abit KR7As they give me, it still wont work. If my new motherboard did happen to break and I RMA'd it, I would basically be paying $6 shipping to get back a brand new broken KR7A. I am thinking about the Asus Nforce board with the 415d chipset. No onboard video, good company, still pretty fast (dont know how it compares to KT266a), only $105 with free shipping at newegg. Any comments?

I have the Asus board that you mentioned. 100% trouble-free for me. If you could sell the Abit, then maybe you can get yourself a new board. Where did you buy it in the first place? How long has it been? The reason why RMA'ing it is good is because you usually get a full retail package back as replacement (which is easier to sell). Or you can unload the mobo right now for cheap.

The Epox 8K5A2 @ Mwave for $86 would be a nice choice..

<--remembering why I stopped using Abit boards.. 🙁

🙂

I am thinking about the Epox also. Can anyone show me any articles that may show the speed differences between these two boards.

RanDum72: It wouldnt do me any good to get another RMA, because the board that I have now has only been used for a few hours, so it is practically the same.
