That's a really good deal, brings the pricing of the 5900U in line with what it should be now, at a retail outlet no less.

Makes it a far better deal than the 9800Pro for $300.

$80 more for a 9800? Nah.

BTW- the nV40 must be really close if they're liquidating like this.

I've used their memory, and their cards, exclusively, for the past 2 years or so, no problems what-so-ever, and their 5700u overclocks like none-otha! :)

This is misleading at best. The Amazon deal you have to wait over a month to get the freaking card, IF they end up shipping at that price. (they've been known to cancel?)

PNY doesn't suck, they don't make cards. They're rebadge MSI, or at least they were on the GF4s.

Guys, read the thread in hot deals. The part number matches the one for a 5900SE, so it's probably just a mistake.

Exactly, no way this price is accurate.

In addition, you can pick up a 9800 Pro for less than that, albeit OEM, but who the heck cares. :)

Also....every vendor on pricewatch and our own RealTime engine lists 5900 Ultras as $330 or more, another indication this deal is bullhonkey.

People are getting told this is just a price mistake when they go to the store.

Oh man...if only I had the money - oh, and Schandenfroh - I've been using 512 MB of PNY PC2100 for about 18 months now, with the timings ratcheted down beyond spec even (2-2-3-6) and haven't had any problems. I dunno, maybe I'm lucky, but I haven't had any problems with their products.

Uuuuuuuh... it's only $210 at NewEgg, or do you mean like retial at BB or CC.

He's probably talking about the 256mb 9800 pro, which is about $300. That would make more sense since he's comparing it to a 256mb 5900.
