PNY Geforce 6600GT

I've been in the market for a video card for a while. Newegg has this for $125.00 (after $20.00 rebate).

Is this worth jumping on?

just depends on what your needs are... i think i'm gonna get one as the last upgrade to my 2.4ghz mob xp iwill xp333 box to replace the gf5600 that pny replaced a broken ti4200 with... should make it chunk along for another year or so at reasonable rates...

it's an ok price for a solid card with a good warranty...

I think so, though you might consider bumping the memory to a full 1000 when you get it.

I can buy yours, used I assume, for $120.00?

My friend recommended the Leadtek A400LE Geforce 6800LE over the PNY Geforce 6600GT. It seems like the PNY is better, any advice?

It was just a suggestion. I have one for sale and your looking to buy. Not everyone wants to deal with rebates and cash back. A straightout sale is sometimes better.

Used doesn't mean like a 50 year old women. Used video cards have long warranties. I didn't overclock so no worries there. Oh well, I just sold it for $110. Have a good day!

only if u can unlock the pipes and run at higher iq settings... and even then the difference is not too big... the 6600 is a safer bet imho... my experience is with a couple on 6800 oc's... 1 softmodded, one didn't... a 6600 for $125 would be a better deal than a 6800 oc for $200ish...

i know the le's are around $110ish, but if u cannot unlock and oc it u have a lesser card...
