I was looking through this past Sunday's CompUSA newspaper ads. I saw that they are now selling PNY DDR memory. Has anyone bought PNY's DDR ram yet? If so, can you comment on its quality and if it's worth to buy or not?

PNY should be in the same league as Kingston, which is excellent and shouldn't cause you any problems.

I agree.. I've only had one bad out of (lost count..:D must be over 12..) and it wasn't PNY's fault Staples sent a badly packaged shipping box and one piece(transistor/resistor?) was rattling around in the clamshell packaging(crushed...) Went to my local B&M (hauling all shipping materials..)..exchanged on the spot. :)

So what's the difference between PNY/Kingston memory versus Crucial memory? Faster RAM chips? Better overclockability?

PNY/Kingston simply hasn't earned the reputation that brands like Crucial and Corsair have for meeting or exceeding specs, reliability and service after sale.

Doesn't mean PNY/Kingston is bad.

Hope this helps!

Both PNY/Kingston will work 100% stable at spec. However if you want to go over spec I would recommend Crucial or Corsair
