Ok, so I have the pen drive stated above, when I put it into any machine the computer detects it however when i click on the drive it says "Please insert a disk into drive."

Any ideas? I have reinstalled the USB drives, restarted, etc etc.

I really need some stuff off the drive.

Any machine, doesn't sound right. Can you reformat it?

Is this Windows XP, 2k, 9.x, etc?

Yes, what the bottom poster said, try Linux. Also a long shot, try USB powered Hub.


 
It is W2K i will try it on XP at home, then will try the Linux option at home too.
