PNY 7800 GTX

Hey everyone...
anyone have any experience with this card? Why are they that much cheaper? I can get one of these for $450 Canadian locally. That's just about 100$ less than a BFG 7800 GTX that is on sale for a weel for $559. Normally I see the GTX for well over $600.

I noted that the PNY is actually clocked at 430... so slower than all of them. DO they have inferior RAM or cores... can they be OC'ed? Do they follow the standard reference desing?

Anyone not like these cards?

thanks
Robert

I would guess they are just like all the others its just not factory overclocked. Also the PNY warrenty is only going to be 3 years while the BFG's is lifetime.

Of course if you plan on OCing the warrenty really doesn't matter.

If you can save $100 go with tyhe PNY personally. I had a PNY 6800GT when they first came out and it Oced very well.

My 7800GT's from PNY overclock fine, dunno about the GTX but the GT's run cool & stable even at 500/1200. Nothing wrong with PNY at all from my point of view.

Yes, PNY are essentially Reference cards.
