PNY 6800GT won't overclock

Just got a 6800GT off of the forums, and it runs fine at stock speeds, but it won't nudge off of 350/1000. Is there a known issue?

Might there be another bios I can flash to?

Specs....

DFI Lanparty UT3 Skt 754mobo
A64 2.2 @ 2.5
1 gig ram
6800GT

You can try to flash the firmware, bump volts, etc...... But, not every video card can overclock. You pretty much got what you paid for, and thats 450/1000. Just my 2 cents.

I remember running into this issue with mine, but it only occurred with some old set of leaked drivers. Try changing or reinstalling your drivers.

cool, thanks for the tips. Late last night I tried powerstrip instead of just the coolbits hack, and the speeds seemed to be adjustable with powerstrip. Maybe my drivers just don't like coolbits clock frequency adjustments.

The card seems to want to run at 400/1100, no artifacts or anything, but every minute or so my rig freezes for like 5 seconds. I think that my Coolmax Taurus 400w PSU w/ 18A on the 12v rail might need upgrading. It never stutters at stock speeds though. I didn't think that it would be THAT much more of a power draw at 400/1100 than 350/1000. I might try unplugging some fans or something.

Maybe its been overclocked and overvolted to death in the past and its not stable anymore past stock speeds.
