I just picked up a PNY 6800 GT from CompUSA (Free Doom III!) and was getting ready to install it when I noticed that it says the max LCD resolution is 1600x1200. The problem is that my monitor is a 24.1" LCD and requires 1920x1200 to operate correctly. I just assumed that the 6800 GT would work at that resolution since even the 9600XT worked fine with the monitor.
Before I open it and incur the 15% open box fee from CompUSA, could someone let me know if this card will actually support 1920x1200 in desktop mode? The PNY website say the max resolution is 2048x1536 @ 85hz so I'm hoping that it will work but since it also says 'flat panel support up to 1600x1200', I thought I would check here with the experts to see where I'm at.
I've been waiting to pick up a Doom III worthy card for a few weeks and really hope this works out. I've read good things about the PNY version
