hehe

yeah, it looks like a pre-order however, it's still much lower than the newegg price, so if it ships soon I think it's a pretty nice deal. Realistically this is about where the 6800 should be priced.

It says 128MB.

Edit: It's also a dollar more now.

About the coupon I mentioned: It's a 10% off email coupon, which, according to buy.com is only valid for a single order. It's the same sort of coupon they've always had - link to their site to redeem the coupon. However, the coupon may not be valid for thsi order, since the item isn't in stock. If not, I'll cancel my order because $257.36 isn't a great deal on this card seeing how it's available from PNY directly for $300. This means that once newegg or other stores carry it, it'll be in that same range.

Darn, would have been a steal at $250, especially if that 10% coupon works on it. Thanks for finding the deal Johnbear007.

I've been a Buy.com customer going back to the days of the Wounded Monitor Children (I was one of them) and have made many purchases and never failed to be satisfied. However, when they were on the verge of bankruptcy, they had to raise their prices to the point that they were no longer very competitive and they seemed to trim back on the selection and prices of their PC HW, so I haven't bought much in quite a while.

I understand you want to remain loyal to a retailer who you remember being a quality seller at one time. I don't post lightly that Buy.com are @$$hats. It took screwing alot of customers to the wall over many, many months to get their rating so amazingly low. Have you read *any* of those reviews? The way they have treated their customers is appalling.

On second thought, now that their prices are the lowest on the net, give her a try, maybe you'll get lucky and that order will come through.

Buy.com generally has great deals on nvidia cards when they first come out. I remember getting my GF2 GTS when it came out for $240, instead of the $350 retail price. :)
