Picked up the 6600GT AGP from CompUSA after PM @ BB yesterday. Came back and installed it onto a fresh format of windows XP SP2. Used the latest nvidia drivers. Ran aquamark and it had one hickup in the middle, but overall still had a 52,000 or so. After that I wanted to check out source so I load it up. First round is playing fine, I died, and then .. i suppose it was getting artifacts? The screen looked as if it were shattered, with the center point on the crosshair. Large grey and white triangles that extened from the middle to the end of the screen. Also, occasionally, the background textures (ie the sky) would look black and messed up. I ended the game and checked the temps of my system. Motherboard at 28 and processor at 60. (3.2 prescott) Also, the room temps was probably in the high 70s .. it was really warm in the room. The video card felt really hot to the touch. Could this be one of those bad 6600GT heatsink problems? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Probably bad contact, typical for these cheap brands like PNY. My PNY Ti 4400 fan died and I called to RMA it since it had a "lifetime" warranty they told me to buy a 3rd party HSF, else I'd have to send it in at my expense and wait weeks for a new one. Thanks...
