This would go well with the $5 bestbuy.com coupons which many of us just started receiving today. (Except for the fact that I have several hundred CDRs and CDRWs from past deals, I would take definately take advantage of this.)

The free shipping makes it a very hot deal. Also, the site says that it is available for pick-up at most stores.

Question : Has anyone ever had trouble gettin their rebate from PNY? I bought some PNY cdr's from best buy about six months ago and had some trouble getting my rebates. Even up to the present I have not received one of my $10 rebates. I called PNY and they always gave me the run around. Even so this seems like a good deal if the rebate comes thru. =)

People here have had lots of trouble with PNY rebates -- more with PNY memory than with PNY CD-R, but PNY in any case. Somewhere in the archives you could find the threads. Eventually -- and that was over six months in many cases -- most did finally get the rebates. In my case Best Buy paid the rebate -- not PNY. In my experience Best Buy will help you if you need help, and as a last resort will make good on a manufacturers rebate for an item they sold.

Note that this does not appear to be a PNY rebate. It looks like a Best Buy rebate to me. I haven't had trouble with the PNY CDR rebates... except the ones I have through ValueAmerica

I bought a spindle today. Looked like there were still a few dozen left at my BB. The rebate's from PNY, but was printed at the register. I also got a $5 BB voucher, activated once you call up and do a satisfaction survey. Pretty good deal.

If anybody saved their $20 gc from before the bestbuy website went online, it drops from 19.25 w/ shipping to absolutely free! I just got 50 free cd-r's, and I didn't even need a mail-in rebate... Thanks guys

Yes..I got stiffed on this particular rebate and haven't been able to collect. It seems that they think you won't hastle them about $5, so they just ignore you.

I bought these about 6 months ago from VA I think. If you have a YAMAHA burner don't expect to burn any music CDs; I've got a 6X scsi unit and it would spit out coaster after coaster until I thought it was dead. a call to Yamaha to tell them I was having trouble burning PNY's, the tech said the head office in Japan said stuff about PNY's that was so bad he couldn't repeat it on the phone or he'd lose his job. ha! Something to do with the burner locating a sync groove on the disc before it burns. Got some Imations; they worked perfectly.

RossMan: The cashier printed out the voucher at checkout along with the receipt. I guess they were only giving it out at random. I did an automated phone survey that took about 10 minutes that asked about my shopping experience at Best Buy. Sorry for any confusion

jonno- that's odd... I have a scsi Yamaha 4416 and I've found that the PNY cdrs burn the best music cds for my very picky Sony car stereo!
