Just noticed it recently but thought it was a Mozilla issue (apparently it's not as it happens in IE as well). Screenshot explains it all 😉

Go into your Profile, choose Personal Options, and change Background Shade to "Light" (it's probably set on "Dark" so you end up with light text on a light background).
