PM limit problems with new subscriber settings!!

When I get my email from a thread I have subscribed to and hit the link it logs me in normal mode. When I try to access my PM's it tells me I have exceeded my limit and won't let me in. Can we get this fixxed?? I usually get my email then go online to the site from email when I have a subscription update. It causes me to log on using the new subscriber address. Replies??
