Maybe it's just that I am familiar with vbulletin software but the pm system is driving me insane. From what I can tell it's impossible to read old pms after you have replied to them and in general the pm system is difficult to navigate? I can suck it up on the navigation part but is there any way to read old pms that you have already replied to?
 
I am aware of the ability to view the private message box, that's not the problem. Lets say someone PMs me, I PM them back and then they PM me again. I can read the last 2 messages but the first one disappears from my inbox.

Are you aware of the search feature?
 
You don't search, you must EXPORT them.

EDIT: Then after they are exported, you can read them in the saved file you made. Be sure to SAVE this file as sometimes whether or not you select delete, it deletes them anyway. It has happened to me twice and I made sure NOT to select delete.
