When I get a PM from someone on my BuddyList, I see the lock next to their name blink orange and red. But I still have to go into Private Messages and click on their PM to read it. Would it be too much to ask to have the lock itself in the buddy list be a link to the PM? For multiple PM's by that person, the Lock could link to the first PM in the list that they sent...

Thanks for listening

For a while, one of my buddies had a permanent red lock by their name, weeks after they'd actually sent me a PM. Assuming this was a cookie issue and it cleared up when I refreshed the cash. As far as I know, there's also still the issue of sending a PM to anyone via the Buddy List, regardless of whether they have it activated or not. They don't get the message.

I have five people on my buddy list. I exchange PM's from them on a regular basis (including clicking on their name, sending the PM, and them getting it). However, I used to have Anand on my buddy list and when I tried sending him a PM, it didn't go through. The buddy list seems to be fully functional as far as I'm concerned, even by not sending PM's to people who have PM's disabled.

Anyway, that's why I brought it up. I get/send PM's on a regular basis to certain people, and I'm just trying to bring a little more convenience to other members who might not have thought of this yet. Let's not bring up how lazy I am. :p

oops, forgot one of my points...
I'm on dialup. It takes time to load a whole nother page. It will save me time and save AT bandwidth by users not having to download that whole viewprivatemessage.cfm page if they go right to the message. :)
