I put together this box and now I realize it's loud as heck.
Question: am I using too many fans?
Question: How do I check temparatures?
Question: Can I put a water cooler into this case or do I need a whole new case?
Question: What water cooler to get?

whats wit showing ur system specs?? LOL

neways...antec smartfans are rated 32decibels? or around that @ like 2500rpm (2700?) with CFM in the 30s. Two of those would be some where around 40-42 decibles if i did my math right. Your antec case fans should be around 28decibles and 2 would be ~37 decibles assuming they run the same frequency. Total puts u in the VERY LOUD RANGE. SO, if u would return ur 2 antec fans and take out those stock fans, install 4 PANAFLO Low or Vantec Stealths (both 21 decibles) then you should have urself a system thats around 28-30 decibles, and trust me, u'll hear the difference immediately. The confusing thing with the decible system is that its not always twice the dicible twice the noise, because frequency is a factor (or generaly, how much air it vibrates or pushes).

another alternative would be to get a rheobus.

btw, ur GFX card would be expelling lots of heat....hmmm MAYBE thats why the DUSTBUSTER 5800 was designed to expell the hot air OUT of the case...hmmmmmm wow...some ppl just don't get it..

Get the Panaflo L1A from case-mod.com for 3.75, and they include fan tails, which frozencpu.com doesn't. An alternative is the 80mm NMB fans for 1.99 at bestbyte.net, those push less air, but are quieter. Are you using the stock Intel HSF? If so, you could consider the Thermalright SLK-800A, which I think is $28 from case-mod.com, or the Zalman CNPS 7000 (one of it's variants, either the Cu or AlCu), or the Thermalright SLK-900. If you live in the Bay Area, you could go for instore pick up to save on shipping.
