Plz Recommend *Reliable & Compatible* MoBo for PIII 800 Flipchip (133 Mhz)

I am building a Win98 PC with an emphasis on reliability and compatibility. No overclocking involved. So far, I have collected the following parts:

Crucial/Micron 256 MB PC133 CAS3

Maxtor 40 GB ATA100 7200 RPM
HP CDRW 91xx
Hitachi 5x DVD (OEM)

IBM TNT2 Riva M64 32MB AGP 4x DVI (made by Number Nine)
Generic Crystal Soundcard (pulled from the Shopss computer)

NetGear FA-311 NIC
Ext. Zoom Modem

Apple 15" LCD Studio Display (2 USB ports to connect mouse & keys)
Microsoft Optical Mouse
Belkin USB Keyboard
InWin Case

I have tried to use quality, name-brand parts. Now I need a processor & mobo to finish the job. I plan to use a PIII 800 FC because I like the current price point. I guess slot 1 800E would be okay as well. (I won't use AMD b/c the one thing the person getting the machine asked for was Intel.)

Please recommend a reliable, compatible, stable mobo; preferably 133 FSB. (It won't be overclocked.)

I was about to get ASUS CUV4X but then I read about USB problems from the VIA chipset. I want to use USB keyboard & mouse at a minimum.

Then I was going to get ABIT BX133 RAID (w/o using RAID part) but I saw a lot of problems mentioned on USENET.

I heard that solano was still being revised and that the 815 mobos are sold out in many places. But maybe I should reconsider?

Thanks for your recommendations!!!

CUSL2 or CUSL-C.
I have the CUSL2 with my 800EB Flip chip. I also have a 256 stick of Micron 133Ram. The board is a little pricey($215CDN), but I built the computer from scratch and the biggest problem that mobo gave me during installation was that it didn't fit perfectly in my HX08 case. So there's only 4 screws holding it on instead of 6. That's the only problem.

I have an Asus Cusl2 motherboard with a p3 800/133 and the system is ROCK STABLE. I have owned it for about a month now and have yet to see it crash. The system is GREAT!

Since you are not overclocking, be sure you get an 800EB, not an 800, FC-PGA processor, which is designed for the 133 MHz bus, not the 100 MHz bus. See some of the points at the end of this.

Then put that in the ASUS CUSL2 or CUSL2-C. That will make a fine system.

Asus CUSL2 or CUSL-C should be at the top of your list, but they tend to be a little more expensive.

As long as you get a board based on Intel 815 chipset from a reputable company, it should work fine regardless of which one you pick.
