A 128 Mb Radeon 9800pro, depending on how much gaming you want to use it for.
A mobile AthlonXP for o/c if you're into that stuff.
Maybe a NEC-3500A DVD burner

Otherwise it seems fine.

Definitely will be playing HL2. Would a 128MB 9800 pro beat a 256MB 9600?

I am by no means a hard core OC'er, but I do have a 600 Duron running at 900 somewhere around here... :) I am a bit lost on the current processors and what does what. I am very interested in what CPUs give the best value - especially factoring expected OC'ability...

NEC better than the Optorite?

I thought you could snag one for like $180 or something.

My only change would be I'd probably get a 9800pro. Doesn't make sense to buy the 9600pro right now to me.

The 256mb memory may come in handy in the future, but I've had most people tell me its currently just going to be largely unused and a waste.

Where's the heatsink/fan?
