Plz recommend a 16x10 monitor for gaming

Don't need anything too fancy, this will be a 2nd monitor on my table. Not looking to spend more than $200 or so. Will be using this gaming, light photoshop/illustrator, usual everyday apps.

Thanks.

For $200 you're looking at a cheap TN panel at best. Color accuracy will suffer, which is fine for gaming but beware with Photoshop.

If you could manage $300-325ish, there's an NEC E-IPS panel monitor that's supposed to be pretty good for the money spent.

The cheaper 16x10 LCD monitors are all about the same in terms of picture quality. I bought an Acer 22" 3 years ago and it is a decent display, and still runs perfect. I would recommend it for general use, the updated version is this one. This does have a nice picture for a TN display.

I also have the IPS NEC 23" display that someone mentioned earlier, and I can vouch that it is better than any $200 TN display you can buy. If you play dark games (or watch movies with dark scenes), then I think the NEC is worth the extra money. However if you are on a pretty strict budget, then the Acer is a good, cheap LCD monitor, especially when it goes on sale for ~$150 shipped.

A friend of mine just picked up 2x Dell 2209WA (IPS panels) for $217 shipped, each. To get this deal, just call Dell and tell them you will buy an HP instead if they don't give you all the coupons.

Honestly, you'll not find a better 22" screen. You can probably get a 24" TN for that price if you shop a bit.
