Plz Help

I'm using Win XP-SP1 and I have 4 partitions on my disk. The story is, I encrypted to secure data in a folder in one of the other drives, F: drive, ( C: is my main drive). After that, I encountered some problems with my computer so, I reformatted only C: drive again. I didn't format all the drives but just C:. After finishing installation and everything, I found out that I can't decrypt that folder in F: drive anymore. When I tried and tried again, "Access Denied" window appeared again and again. 🙁 Both Administrator name and Password before and after reformatting are the same. Can someone please help me how I can retrieve that data?

Thanking u all in advance guys.... do help me plz

Anyhow, yeah your data is GONE. Sorry! Same thing happened to me a few months back. Luckily they were files that I had backed up to CD a few months earlier - I didn't lose it all, but I lost a few months worth of data. Still a pain to recover, but better than starting from scratch.

If anything like this happens in the future, you should note that the ONLY way of POSSIBLY recovering any of the files would be if they were in the Windows system root, in which case you might be able to use the System Recovery Console. Another option may be readNTFS boot disk, but I haven't tried it with encrypted files. Use at your own risk.

Sorry dude. I wish we coulda been more help. I know I teased a bit earlier but I do know how that sucks when you've lost stuff 🙁
