Plz help with builds

those 2 are my high end builds since i dont game hardcore i still want to see if which of the top two are better overall for gaming and overclocking.

and this is my mediocre build
Amd 3700
DFi UT Ultra-D
Ocz pc3200 Rev 2
6800GS

or my Lower build
Amd 3200 venice
DFi UT Ultra-D
Ocz pc3200 Rev 2
7800GT

would any of those two builds be ok or should i wait for socket M to get dual core

i mainly need something that will last or something that i can upgrade in the future
when dual cores are alot cheaper and newer cards are cheaper.
