we just lost power...not thunder and lightning but the power went out...then i came upstairs to use cop...and comp seems to be working fine...but monitor wont turn on!

its an hp pav mx 90 monitor and i cant get it to power on..its plugged into a surge protector just like the comp could this be from power outage...it was working fine before...and can it be fixed? by professionals so i dont need to buy an entire new monitor...i consider this to be a very nice monitor and i love it...i really dont want to have to spend 200+ of my budget for my comp on a decent 19 inch when i had a great 19 inch already!

plz help me!

The best scenario is your monitor blew a fuse inside or a capacitor. I recommend letting a professional look at it because monitors have the capacity to kill people if not handled properly. If lucky it will cost you $60 canadian (45 American)

i left my monitor unplugged all night and i pluged it in this morning and it worked! thx for the above advice that told me to do that and im so happy i dont need a new one!
