I need a small variable resistor (Called a Potentiometer, or POT) on a thumb-wheel "dial" with a special function:
It needs a built-in cut-off switch with a tactile "click" when rolled the highest resistance end.
I know I've seen this in MANY devices before, but the only one I can remember is an old battery operated radio.
Does this have a specific name? I searched all through the Newark (Yes, ALL through this one), Mouser, and Jameco electronics catalogs and can't find it.
It also needs to be very small (Think of the volume dial on a MP3 player), because it will fit in the modded space within a pre-manufacturered hand-held device.
HELP!
I need as many of these as I can get.
/EDIT: Is it called a "Potentiometer with limit switch?" I need one small enough be categorized as "surface-mount," so what should I look for? Thnx!
