Weeeee!

This is the ultimate weather, and if I could somehow scorch the sky to be eternal rain and overcastiness I would. You can take your sunshine rays and shove em up your ass, the cool calming chaos of a thunderstorm is where it's at!

What is the best and rainiest city to live in in the United States? I was surprised to learn that Seattle is NOT the rainiest. In fact the rainiest cities are all in the South. Yuck.

Does it rain often where you live? Tell me about how often it's rainy or overcast so I can consider moving there. Rain is the bestest.

I really enjoy the rain, especially thunderstorms. I like sitting under some kind of shelter outdoors, watching and listening to the rain, but I don't enjoy rainy days more than sunny days.

I live in Toronto, by the way, so you're probably not interested in moving here. I guess you'd probably want to be in British Columbia if you were willing to relocate to Canada.

I have been thinking of moving to Canada in a few years...seems like a nice group of people and I do enjoy maple syrup. :hmm:

Although Red Squirrel doesn't really sell it well with his pictures of 4am sunrises and 30' tall snow drifts.

My ideal day is 55F, with heavy fog, and drizzle. I think Seattle might be your best bet for overcast weather. They may not top out on total precipitation, but tje temperature's tolerable, and you may get more regular light rain as opposed to the intermittent, but heavy rains of the south.

My brother in law lived there for a stint, I thought Seattle was stupid crowded/expensive? Are there any similar cities that are more small-medium cities?

I'm not from out that way, but you may find something you like on the outskirts of Seattle, or another smaller town on the coast. As always, it seems like the best places to live have the fewest job prospects. Good jobs bring people, and ruination of what made the area nice.

Here in Central FL, we get beautiful blue sky everyday and a thunderstorm every afternoon...

It is very much this way. We have the most "rainy days" but not the most rainfall.

It is. It's unconscionable. NEVER come here. Not even to visit.

No, there is nowhere in the whole state of washington that is worth living in. Stay far, far away. And spread the word about it, too. People need to be warned.
