I said BMWs were pigs on gas. I did not say they were designed for pigs who have gas.

Also, this idea makes no sense. People who weigh 400lbs probably don't have the type of job that would allow them to buy a BMW. I'll use my work as an example. Here we do engineering. Engineers make good money, but they also move around a lot. They stand in front of the design table, they walk around the office. There is only 1 fat guy in the entire office.
Rig pigs make good money. None of them are fat.
Lawyers and doctors make bank too, but they usually aren't fat because they walk around a lot.

Dude, people working at McDonalds and living in apartments drive BMWs. Don't know why people think they are such a status symbol or so out of reach when they are everywhere.

Those people are almost guaranteed to be driving used ones. An average new BMW is well out of the price range of the majority of McDonalds and apartment people.

Yep. BMW doesn't exactly care about the used car market. You give your money to BMW when you buy a new BMW. They don't see any of it when you buy a used BMW on craigslist.

I don't quite understand what they would research or try to develop. We already have cars where the seats are the entire width of the car. In the 1950-80s there were bench seats. Cup holders (if your car had any) were held next to the radio. My gf's 96 Corolla had cup holders like that. If BMW wants to make a car for plus size people, all they need to do is copy the interior from a 1986 Pontiac Parisienne. That's the car my parents had. Bench seats, gear shift on the column, no cup holders. You could sit 3 people in the front seat or maybe 2 really really fat people. Older cars were even bigger than that.

Make the porkers suffer.

t
They already suffer because too much fat gets to be cumbersome. Then the rest of us suffer because we get to see fat people wear tight clothes :\

Click the post url in my sig. Theb shared a story about a kid who appeared to be struggling to breathe due to his obesity. The context of the comment basically reads "i would rather be sexually molested if it allowed me to be athletic and able to do normal kid things like climbing trees and running around"

Fat people also suffer at the fuel pumps because they tend to need larger vehicles. A 400lb person driving a Corolla would notice a lot more acceleration problems than someone who only weighs 200. If your entire family is 400lb each, then a 4 cylinder Camry just won't cut it. You need the V6. More cost, more fuel, more fuel cost.

Oh man that is funny.

I could just imagine a whale family of four each weighing 400lbs with a little 4 banger struggling with the massive load.
