These 2 are 18 years old, they do not tolerate freezing cold so it's a project to protect them when it is projected to get below 32, not that often in Daytona area but it has happened several times in the last couple of years, anyway..

Nice going! It is one of our fondest memories of Hawaii, the smell of plumeria everywhere.

It is nice, have several in the yard here.

The wifes picks some when they are in bloom about once a week and puts them in a bowl of water in the kitchen.

Is nice once they get big like that you just break a branch off and stick it in the ground elsewhere you get more.

I think we have at least three different colors.

Yea, they root out very easily, we've given away some pieces to neighbors as they used to be in big pot's but the wind would blow them over at times so I planted them in the ground about 9 years ago. Outside of freezing temps I have to spray them with a fungicide in the hot months or else the "orange rust" will attach to the backside of the leaves and cause them to yellow up and die.

Thanks, they can be grown in the colder zones as well but only in pots as they will not be able to tolerate a real winter environment. IIRC we paid $15 for them way back, they just shipped 2 "12 long pieces in a sealed wet container. If you want a starter LMK and I'll just charge you the postage. Some people use "root-tone" rooting hormone but I don't think it's necessary.

The Root Hormone does speed things up though.

My Grandmother swore buy it, she used to just take walks around her neighborhood and if she saw a plant she liked she'd snip a little bit off one and start one at her house. She was a bit of a plant thief :p

Still have a few nice ones she had started in the yard here also.

Yea, it does work, I've used it myself a few times.

WTF is wrong with people?, neighbor tells me today a white SUV pulled on my lawn and a woman proceeded to chop off two big limbs and drive off. Unfortunately she was not able to get the tag #. Now I'm forced to spend $$ on a fucking surveillance system, if I had pulled into the driveway when she was doing this I would have taken her shears and cut some chunks of rubber off her tires. This is why I won't buy a gun because I would have shot flat all four tires if I saw her doing this.

People are nuts these days.

She will probably pot em and sell em at a flea market or something.

I doubt you were the only one she hit.

I just called the cops, they told me to get a Sheriff-issued no trespassing sign which I will do. I am going to install video as well, what a shame you have to do this these days, not even fucking plants are safe from wandering scumbags.

LOL, even though we never see each other I feel that the regular posters on ATOT (or here) are people I "know" so yea, I would honor that request. Thing is this bitch had large pruning shears and took 2 BIG branches off it. Maybe it's better I didn't catch her in the act as I would have gone fucking ballistic and probably smashed out her windshield or something.

cool person comes to the door and asks for a small cutting. Maybe offers one of her own. Entitled meathead grabs and goes. I had neighbor dig up a small fir seedling, one day it was next to my driveway the next it was in his yard. It was no skin off my back but it was a similar act, no permission.

If it was me I would pour a generous helping of Clorox on it the next night. I checked CL and plumeria cutting's go for around $10-30 depending on the size.
