Won't even post now.
How screwed am I?

This is pc has everything in it I am scared like no other did I just destroy my whole pc.

The good news is your data is most probably fine and intact on the hard drive. You'd have to diagnose what parts went bad. First part I'd check is probably the Power Supply. Does your PC turn on at all? Or are there any signs that the PSU is working? You can usually check by forcing the PSU on without a mobo with a paperclip in between certain pins. You'd have to check with the manufacturer though to see how to do it on your specific PSU.

Yes my pc turns on. No signal to TV though and when I click the power button it instantly turns off. Normally if i got into Windows but no display I'd have to hold the power button. Is my mobo fried? I'm just mind boggled, I recently moved to a new location 1600 miles of driving but my pc was in a place where it wasn't moving. My server slid around everywhere and is fine. If my data is intact I couldn't care less but I'm just terrified I lost 28 tb of info haha.

I would think it much more likely that you need to take the parts out of the PC and plug them back in together. Basically, something vibrated enough to not make contact.

I don't think powering on a PC without a ground connector would necessarily fry it. Did you hear any zapping sounds or smell burnt electronics after you plugged it in or turned it on?

If not, then it may be as simple as needing to re-seat RAM, and unplug / replug your SATA cables.

Make sure the power supply didn't get switched from 110 to 220. Have you tried a different outlet?

I live in an old ass house and not a single outlet in it is actually grounded. Plugging a computer into an ungrounded outlet isn't going to automatically fry it.

Thanks guys my data is fine I got it to boot on a other monitor.

Which is utterly ridiculous. I can't post with no monitor plugged in. I can't post with hdmi in. I can only post with a dvi monitor plugged in and since I don't have a converter cable to vga for the TV I have to bring a monitor over and boot then unplug it.

I've never even used anything but hdmi on this pc, why am I having an issue like this now? And since when did pcs refuse to boot all the way just because a monitor isn't plugged in?

Glad you solved the issue. I have no idea about the no boot though. Have you tried another HDMI cable or another HDMI port?

I don't see how HDMI/VGA is possibly causing the computer not to post. No video doesn't necessarily mean it's not POSTing.

How can you have 28 tb of data in one PC? How many hard drives do you have?

In any case, since the data seems very important to you, you need to back it up ASAP, at least the most critical parts.

I think the other critical issue here is to go to radio shack or best buy and buy a 6 foot rod of copper to jam into the ground and get it wired up to your house. It can be done super cheap and the only expensive part would be to get an electrician to sign off on the wiring change.

Since your house is that old then I also suspect the internal wiring would also easily get very hot as well. I wonder about your circuit breaker. Is it the old style screw in fuse types? If so then I would greatly advise upgrading your house wiring first so your future electronic investments do not do suffer any damage for lack of ground.
