"Plug & Play was not detected on your computer!" On my new KK266!

Why should I get this on a new pc. Inside bios I had set this as a pnp computer.

Did you do a fresh install?

Yep, this is an all new install of win98. But, good news. I just got off the phone with 3com's tech support and they've helped me install the ISA NIC.
I still don't know why the 3com preinstl.exe program said I don't have pnp installed, but the point is now mute.
