Plug and Play is Broken!

I recently tried to install a new SATA harddrive on my MSI 975x Mobo and WindowsXP Pro asked me for a driver! I already have a functioning SATA drive on this motherboard and was never asked for a driver then...Anyway I purchased an external enclosure for the new harddrive and tried to use it via USB 2.0 and again WinXp pro asks for a driver for USB mass storage device!...I have another external USB drive attached to this computer that did not need a driver to install. Upon boot, when the found new hardware wizard shows up, I just cancel it and the drive seems to work correctly....however I'd like to resolve this issue...

Any Ideas?
Thanks

What is the start up type for your plug and play service? It seems like there is some conflicts when OS recognize and initialize the new hardware.
