My sofa cushions have zippered covers so they can easily go in the washer. Leather is too hot IMHO.

Leather is nice buy pricey, try looking into vinyl sofa's, avoid bonded leather.

Buy sofas that's made from polyester fiber and foam, and make sure the cushion covers can come off.
Buy a carpet cleaner with a hose attachment for sucking up liquid and upholstery cleaning solution.

I've kids peed, puked, spilled juice, etc on my off-white sofas, and the sofas still looks brand new. Aside from jumping on the sofas (it kills the springs), I let kids be kids.

I'm kinda curious too. In my case, cat. My cat pukes a lot, often on the couch. I feel gross sitting on my own couch, no matter how often I clean it. Mine is sorta like a leather but not really, so cushions can still absorb stuff.

Do they make deep cleaners like carpet cleaner attachments without having to buy a full blown carpet cleaner?

I use a Bissell upright wet vacuum with the hose attachment. It doesn't have the power of a commercial carpet cleaner, but if you go over the area several times slowly, it sucks enough liquid out for your sofas to dry. I once had a commercial unit, but there were too many steps involved to use it and stow away properly. The Bissell is quick and easy.

There's a little learning curve if you've never cleaned sofas before to get them cleaned just right.

Tips:
-water is a carrier, not a cleaner...so only use enough to be suck up immediately
-spray sofas with cleaning solution mixed with water in a spray bottle (damp, not wet) and work it in with a brush or damp microfiber cloth
-use the hose attachment to spray water and suck it up immediately, then stop spraying water when the water being sucked is clean and keep on sucking

Here you go:

https://www.homereserve.com

1. Waterproof option available
2. 10-year frame warranty
3. Separates into 3 pieces: frame, padding, cover (easy to replace parts)
4. Ships from online ordering
5. Buy per piece, or as a set
6. Lots of colors available
7. Can change colors easy
8. Can re-arrange easy
9. Built-in storage

My previous couch was from a different brand (same modular concept), although this brand is much better quality. It's pretty cool because you can rearrange the room at will, so if you're having a party you can move everything against the wall, or if you want to build a fort with your kids, or setup for movie night, or whatever, you can adjust it as needed. If you want to redecorate the room, you can just replace the covers instead of buying entirely new furniture. If the kids destroy any part or piece of a part of the couch, it's replaceable. Plus it's available online, so just order & ship, you don't have to go anywhere or worry about matching parts becoming unavailable.

^^

i would just rid myself of the cat.
Or better yet, find out why it's puking so much and get it taken care of, and/or stop letting it get at whatever it shouldn't be eating... Healthy cats that aren't eating random weird shit (which imx, cats, unlike dogs, don't usually do) don't throw up very often...
