pls share if you've ever had a jack stand fail

How old was the jack stand, How often was it used, what Brand, what was the comparitive capacity vs loads, any signs prior to failure, describe event

I Had one that was slightly off balance and it started to tip when weight was put onto it, but have never had one full out fail and drop the car.
Was an cheapo crapadian tire off brand

Search the internet it happens.

It's why I use 12 ton stands. More for the stability than anything. They are about 5x bigger than 3 ton stands.
