PLS Need help for printer driver installation PLS

Hello all,

it came to a point that what's happening is over my capacities. Could anyone pls help.

My OS; Windows 7 64bits

My printer; Canon MF3240 (multifunction printer with scanner, fax and printer)

When I connect the printer to my PC, in "Devices and Printers" I see MF3200 under Unspecified with a yellow triangle.

In Device Manager: Other Devices MF3200 with a yellow triangle.

I went to Canon website, downloaded and unzipped the driver in a folder: http://www.canon.ca/inetCA/en/serviceDetail/method/load/id/5/sid/28/mid/0002200215/type/S

So, when I right click in Device Manager under the Other Devices, Update driver Software, browse my computer for driver software, I mention the specific emplacement of the folder. I get an error message from Windows; Windows was unable to install your MF3200.

I start again; Browse for driver software on your computer, Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer; have disk; I choose directly in the folder one of the 3 files(CNXRPUW2, MF21SCN, MF3200AU, all 3 are setup information files).

I get a message; The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.

I tried deleting and uninstalling. Add printer; Add a local printer; Use an existing port LPT1; Canon; Have disk and choose the downloaded driver. Print test doesn't work.

In Device Manager, I don't see and imaging device as supposed for the scanner.

I'm kind of lost.....if any of you need any more information pls feel free to ask.

Thank in advance for any advice that will be provided.

I regard

Try this:

Disconnect the printer.
Right-clicking each INF, and choose "install."
If that works, reconnect the printer, using a different USB port.

I've often had that work when the normal after-the-fact method didn't.

Yes I did...I keep receiving a message from windows that the files aren't recognized or to make they are for windows 7 64based system. And they are.....that's the exact file that I downloaded from Canon website.

Ok here are the news,

I was able to reach a Canon tech.....and he guided me for the installation. To reset the multifunction printer settings. Change the cable.

We were able to successfully install the driver for the printer and the fax. But, window still isn't able to recognize the imaging device.....I always get the same message:

Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device. Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. Seeing the scanner picture. The system cannot find the file specified.

Tried to update for hardware changes many times.....unable to do anything for the scanner....anyone can help pls ???
