Hello all,
it came to a point that what's happening is over my capacities. Could anyone pls help.
My OS; Windows 7 64bits
My printer; Canon MF3240 (multifunction printer with scanner, fax and printer)
When I connect the printer to my PC, in "Devices and Printers" I see MF3200 under Unspecified with a yellow triangle.
In Device Manager: Other Devices MF3200 with a yellow triangle.
I went to Canon website, downloaded and unzipped the driver in a folder: http://www.canon.ca/inetCA/en/serviceDetail/method/load/id/5/sid/28/mid/0002200215/type/S
So, when I right click in Device Manager under the Other Devices, Update driver Software, browse my computer for driver software, I mention the specific emplacement of the folder. I get an error message from Windows; Windows was unable to install your MF3200.
I start again; Browse for driver software on your computer, Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer; have disk; I choose directly in the folder one of the 3 files(CNXRPUW2, MF21SCN, MF3200AU, all 3 are setup information files).
I get a message; The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.
I tried deleting and uninstalling. Add printer; Add a local printer; Use an existing port LPT1; Canon; Have disk and choose the downloaded driver. Print test doesn't work.
In Device Manager, I don't see and imaging device as supposed for the scanner.
I'm kind of lost.....if any of you need any more information pls feel free to ask.
Thank in advance for any advice that will be provided.
I regard
