I am new to o.c. and am going nuts trying to find the right settings. Below is what I put together in hopes of overclocking it a little. Everytime I change the settings ,she doesnt want to start. Voltage maybe? Well here it is . Help please.

antec Performance Plus1080
volcano 7 fan

430w tru power
Soyo kt400 ultra platinum
barton 2500
corsair xms pc3500 512 mb
ati 128mb 8500 all in wonder

I don't know if that motherboard has agp/pci lock or not, but if it doesn't, raising your FSB will mess up the PCI (33MHz) and AGP (66MHz) frequencies. That could cause it not to start up. Also, leave the multiplier alone if you can, until you've found the maximum FSB that you can get to, which should be pretty high considering you have PC3500 DDR.

if agp/pci lock is the voltage then yes it has that feature. What should I lock it at and when I raise the fsb do I have to raise the voltage for the fsb?

agp/pci lock is NOT the voltage setting. when u overclock your FSB you also overclock your pci and agp frequencies, making them go out of spec (spec is 33 and 66 respectively). some devices dont like being out of spec and the computer will not boot. keep your voltages to the defaults in the beginning. then after you overclock and find your computer not very stable raise the voltage slightly on your cpu or ram.

personally id say get an nforce2 mobo
abit nf7-s 1.2 or wait for 2.0 this summer
