Hi,

What YOUR PC will be used for?
Playing games (Diablo 3, StarCraft 2, more), surfing the web, watching movies

What YOUR budget is?
$500 - $700

What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from?
Canada

IF YOU have a brand preference?
CPU – Intel
MOBO – Gigabyte, Asus
RAM – no preference
GPU - no preference

If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts?
Case, PSU, DVD burner. monitor, CPU fan

IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Sure, but will have to learn. I’ve never done it before.

What resolution will you be using?

1980 x 1080

WHEN do you plan to build it?
2-3 weeks

Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?
No

I’m using a computer that has served me well for 8 years now and surprisingly I can still play StarCraft 2 and barely D3, lol. So I just need to purchase 4 parts: CPU, MOBO, RAM, and the graphics card. I won’t be doing any SLI/crossfire. I’ll be playing Diablo 3 mostly and watching movies. For the CPU I’m torn between i5 2500k & i5 3570k. The other parts MOBO, RAM and graphics card and I’m too sure which ones to get.

Thanks!

For $700 you can get some good components:

CPU: i5 3570k ($250) Five star rating

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB ($47) Five star rating

Graphics Card: EVGA GTX570i ($300) Five star rating

Motherboard: Asrock LGA 1155 intel Z68($105) Four star rating

I am pretty new to this but these parts are very good and you will be able to run any game you want well. You may want to check with someone experienced to see if these will work. Good luck 🙂
