pls help real quick on win2k format question

You don't..

like Electric Amish said

If you can't then you can always make either 3-4 boot disks from the cd..

or go to bootdisk.com and get one there.

hmmm.....im use to a boot disk...hitting fdisk...then partition...then format.....

can you tell me how to do this with win2k? just leave the disk in on reboot?

i always use the cd to boot from and then use the built in format and partition programs in win2k.

You should definitely take your dick out before you reboot. 🙂

Who kwos it might be fun....but uhm where do you stick it and you have to watch out for the fan blades..that would really hurt.

crap...i forgot to mention this system is DELL...i put in the cd, rebooted, and nothing..would assume i am not set up to boot from cd =) (yeah, im quick) anyway, i cant get to the bios to enable the system to boot from cd.....i just get the dell splash screen...then this loading 2000 black window with white lines on the bottom....

what to do now?

You can copy boot.ini, NTLDR, bootsect.dos, ntbootdd.sys and ntdetect.com to a floppy. But if you just want to install win2k, I think it'll be easier to boot to the CD, like others have said. Depending on your machine, you may have to hit F2, or ctr+ del + enter BIOS...

Yea, most dell BIOS's are f2. Just keep pounding that key untill you see either the windows startup logo or the bios screen 😉
