Pls HELP!! My HP 1220C printer prints out wrong colors...seems like the yellow color does not print out when doing test

Masters,

My HP 1220 printer seems a bit washed out, and when I do a test page,
it looks as if the YELLOW color does not print out, thus making green look
like light blue, and the red, somewhat cardinal.

I have tried 2 new tri-color original HP cartridges(somewhat old...exp. date
nov. 2001), but with same results. So I am assuming it is not the cartridge
that is at fault.

Pls let me know what I can do.

Update your drivers first just in case you have a driver screwed up

Thanks for the reply.

It was causing the same problem with my previous PC
(only after having worked great without any hickups)
and with the new one (Dell Optiplex) which had a fresh
install of the driver downloaded from the HP site.

Any other suggestions???
