Somehow I installed the Maxtor ATA 100 PCI card on my computer... and drivers... but cannot get the hard drive (80 WD gigs) to appear on "My Computer". It shows on the Device manager (win2k)as Maxtor Win2k Mass Controller and the 80 gigs Drive in Device Manager. But somehow it is not mounted.
I installed the drivers this way: Restart with Win2K CD in Computer... Press "F6"... installed the Adapters/controllers, etc.. and it did install the drivers.... restart computer, put cable back to HD (CSEL) and it detects during Post but Hard Drive is not mounted on "My Computer" but shows in the Devices under Hard Drives... How can I get this to work ?? Trying it for a few days... pls help... honorable ones... During Win2k... somehow After installing the PCI Adapters or 3rd party controllers devices.. nothing else says...I just quit it... it does not go to something like Partition Manager to say something like " Do you wish to enable this drive"... what to do...
