I always had good luck also with Plextore but not really for the amount I paid for Plextor is worthwhile for what I will be using for in the post. I am better off buying OEM Pioneer and saving some $$$

plextor makes some of the best drives. they would get my vote. in my old computer, i have a plextor cd-rw thats like 2 or 3 years old .... still very solid and fast.
Ok I used my dvd rom to rip the movies and used my Plextor burner to burn dvd's . It still took 1 hour to burn a movie at 8X speed . Any reason if thats the case, I am better off buying Pioneer if its going to take 1 hour to burn movies wheather its Plextor or some other brand.
