Plextor Worth The Buy??

I've had the best luck over the years with Plextor, Pioneer, and Asus drives. I don't think I've had a Lite-On branded drive last over 6 months.
 
I always had good luck also with Plextore but not really for the amount I paid for Plextor is worthwhile for what I will be using for in the post. I am better off buying OEM Pioneer and saving some $$$

Same can be said about my liteon that costs half as much.
 
Ok I used my dvd rom to rip the movies and used my Plextor burner to burn dvd's . It still took 1 hour to burn a movie at 8X speed . Any reason if thats the case, I am better off buying Pioneer if its going to take 1 hour to burn movies wheather its Plextor or some other brand.
