Plextor PX-M2 vs. Crucial M4?

I was about to order the Crucial M4, but found the Plextor PX-M2. Both are powered by the Marvell controller.

Plextor PX-256M2S:
- sequential reads up to 480MB/s and sequential writes up to 330MB/s
- 4K Random Read/Write: 15K / 9K IOPS
- 128MB cache

Crucial CT256M4SSD2:
- sequential reads up to 500MB/s and sequential writes up to 260MB/s
- 4K Random Read/Write: 40K / 50K IOPS
- 256MB cache

What kind of performance differences would I see between the two drives? I have not seen any reviews of the Plextor - how are their SSDs regarded?

Thanks

I posted the exact same question. Here were some of the responses!

Oh yeah, I STILL haven't bought either because when I went to newegg to purchase the plextor, they raised the price back to $380 whereas it was $350 yesterday for the 256GB SSD. Now I'm back to square one.

I do like Plextor's 32nm NAND though, longer life. And plextor is very very reliable judging by consumer reviews on newegg/amazon plus their forums.

Y'Know, I've never had anything but bad luck with anything from Plextor. I tried two optical drives of theirs back when they were getting great reviews and such things were a lot more expensive. Now, maybe this is a completely different case but I would still go with the tried and true name - and they don't come better than Crucial these days.
