Plextor PX-AV100U Driver HELP!!!!

Well, I screwed up myInstallation CD for my Plextor ConvertX PX-AV100U after it flipped outta my bag and went for a wild ride down a flight of concrete stairs... :frown: and the dumbest thing is that the driver is not available on their website for this product, just a stupid update(that refuses to install the new driver until it reads the CD). I understand if they don't give the download for the registered Intervideo product(which sucks, but that's a diferent story), but why not the driver?? :disgust:

Tried to recover the CD, but it's severely scratched at the beginning of the disc and no longer works.

I've looked all over the internet and spent hours googling it.. No luck, I just can't believe it.... but it isn't out there...


Anyhow, if anyone is so kind and have this exact same product. I need XP drivers... PM me!!

Hi, If it's scratched on the label side there is not much you can do about it. A scratch on the other side can be polished out if it's not too deep. Polishing kits are available. I have used Auto Polishing compound with success.

Yeah it's scratched on both sides and a good portion of the scratch is completely seethrough from the bottom of the disc..

oh well.. hopefully somebody on this forum has this product

Have you tried sending tech support or customer service an email explaining what happened? They might send you out a replacement cd if you send in your scratched one.

Just found this this in Jan 2020. Almost 14 years later. I am in the same boat. I am beating my brains out trying to find drivers for several options to capture old videos. So frustrating. I gave up at one point and paid over $700 fro legacybox. But they suck. Captured less than half of my vids, claiming my tapes were damaged. Although they play fine on my camcorder.
So now I am trying to get the Plextor unit to work. Old Firewire is a no go with new Windows. Ugh!

What specific product are you trying to use, and what version of Windows are the drivers compatible with?

You can get the Plextor ConvertX PX-AV100U (with Win2000/XP driver CD) cheap on eBay, but you might need an old computer with that old version of Windows to run it on.
