I was looking for a Plextor 760 to buy but they seem to be sold out everywhere currently. I see there is a PX-800A model out now. Anyone got one or seen a review of one yet? Pricegrabber isnt showing any user reviews. I need a burner for my next build. Plextor is on my consideration list.

www.cdfreaks.com has stuff about it in the forums. From what I've seen it's not up to what is expected of Plextor. Find a Sanyo based Plextor model and you'll be happier.

i got the SATA variant. the PX810SA, and it is amazing. Ramps to speeds sooo quickly, fairly quiet aswell. All discs coming out are perfect. I am using taiyo yuden DVD-r's, TDK DVD+r's and Verbatim DVD+R DL.

I have 3 burners and this one is my favourite. i currently use the Pioneer DVR212D and PLextor 716SA. As you can see i have a thing for SATA burners
