Plextor PX-712SA with INTEL D915GAV MotherBoard?

Hi,

I have the Intel D915GAV MoBo, which has 4 SATA ports and 1 IDE port. My HDD is fixed to one of the SATA ports.

I'm thinking of buying the Plextor 712SA DVD Writer. Are there any known issues with this combination of MoBo-Drive? How can I find out? Who should I ask?

Any help is much appreciated.
 
IF I haven't already, welcome to the AT Forums.

The Plextor web site has a list of compatible SATA controller and mobo chipsets as well as other info. Right now it is mainly Intel chipsets and SiliconImage controller chips that are compatible. So you may get lucky.
